Job summary

Milestone Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Technician III to install, troubleshoot, and maintain critical data center infrastructure. You will lead hardware diagnostics, support GPU and high-density compute environments, and coordinate with vendors for RMAs.

This is a senior-level technical role requiring hands-on expertise in server hardware, storage, networking, and Linux. The role emphasizes on-site operations, change management, and mentoring junior technicians.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data center, infrastructure, or hardware support.
• Rack-and-stack installations and structured cabling experience.
• Strong server hardware troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Experience supporting enterprise storage and networking infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
• Knowledge of data center power, cooling, and operation best practices.
• Experience with ticketing and change management platforms (ServiceNow preferred).
• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs in data center environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, rack, stack, cable, and commission servers, storage, network devices, and infrastructure.
• Perform advanced hardware diagnostics, troubleshooting, and component replacement.
• Execute break/fix activities on production systems within SLAs.
• Support data center migrations, expansions, and lifecycle projects.
• Maintain asset inventories, rack elevation diagrams, and deployment docs.
