Job summary

Jacobs seeks a senior structural engineer to lead design and delivery of data center projects, including new builds and retrofits. You will guide technical direction, mentor teams, and ensure high-performance, constructible solutions while collaborating with clients and internal teams.

You will influence project execution, coordinate with structural groups, and advance our Design-Build delivery methodology across portfolios—driving excellence and leadership in a global context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 15+ years of professional experience in structural engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to become registered in additional states.
• Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation and S3D.
• Knowledge and application of Building Codes.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite including MS Teams for remote coordination.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality reviews of complex projects.
• Lead complex structural analyses and guiding the selection of methodologies for robust, code-compliant designs.
• Develop and validate advanced structural computer models and mentoring team members in simulation techniques.
• Oversee calculations for member design and foundations, direct material take-offs and estimating inputs, and provide technical governance for schedules and interdisciplinary coordination.
