Job summary

STV, Inc. is seeking a Construction Manager - Shell & Core to lead field oversight for a large-scale, mission-critical data center project.

Responsibilities include civil, structural, architectural, and building envelope work from early site development through dry-in and turnover. The role requires coordinating with project leadership, general contractors, subcontractors, design teams, and QA/QC to ensure safety, schedule, budget, and quality targets are met, with emphasis on interface

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related discipline preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 7+ years of progressive construction management experience on large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or technically complex projects.
• Data center or mission-critical construction experience strongly preferred.
• Experience managing ground-up core and shell construction including foundations, concrete, structural steel, roofing, exterior envelope, and architectural scopes.
• Strong understanding of sequencing, constructability, scheduling, field operations, and trade coordination.
• Experience overseeing general contractors, subcontractors, and multiple trades in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, schedules, RFIs, and submittals.
• Knowledge of safety, quality control, inspections, punch-lists, and project closeout.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day construction management and field oversight for shell/core scope including sitework, foundations, concrete, structural steel, roofing, and exterior envelope.
• Oversee general contractors and trade partners to ensure work aligns with drawings, specs, schedules, and safety requirements.
• Manage shell construction from early site development through structural completion, dry-in, and turnover to downstream trades.
• Monitor contractor performance, manpower, sequencing, productivity, and progress against the project schedule.
• Coordinate with MEP, OFCI, commissioning, quality, safety, and project controls teams to support delivery schedule.
• Identify risks, constructability issues, field conflicts, and drive resolution.
• Review drawings, specs, RFIs, submittals, changes, and related information.
• Lead coordination meetings, site walks, progress reviews, and contractor meetings.
• Ensure proper coordination between structural, architectural, civil, and MEP scopes at interfaces and penetrations.
• Monitor building envelope installation, waterproofing, roofing, and exterior walls.
• Partner with QA/QC to monitor inspections, punch lists, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
• Support leadership with schedule updates, progress reporting, risk IDs, and change management.
• Maintain documentation of progress, conditions, decisions, issues, and resolutions.
• Drive accountability with contractors while maintaining collaborative relationships.
• Support turnover and closeout of shell areas to MEP, equipment, commissioning, and operations teams.
• Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with site-specific and project safety requirements.
