Job summary

Aegis Project Controls seeks a Senior Project Controls Engineer to provide CPM scheduling and project control services for data center initiatives. This on-site role in Childress, Texas involves developing baselines, monitoring progress, and coordinating with client project managers and field teams to keep projects on schedule.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years in project controls, strong knowledge of Primavera P6, and the ability to analyze critical paths, costs, and resources.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in project controls and CPM scheduling within the vertical construction industry.
• Two or more years of experience in project controls for data centers.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction, project management, or a related field (waived with five+ years of relevant experience).
• Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6.
• Ability to interpret construction documents and know means, methods, and sequences.
• Experience developing schedules for data center projects.
• Familiarity with contractual clauses as they apply to planning and scheduling.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Development, maintenance, and monitoring of construction CPM Schedules.
• Review project documents and specifications to develop baseline schedules with all dates, activities, and milestones.
• Perform progress schedule updates with reporting and narratives.
• Review schedules and provide recommendations based on execution goals.
• Conduct critical path analyses and propose corrective actions.
• Conduct site walks for progress validation and prepare monthly reporting packages.
• Review contractor progress and present to management for decision-making.
• Develop KPIs, metrics, and benchmarks; manage costs and resources.
• Identify and evaluate risks and impacts within project schedules.
• Communicate project status and challenges to project teams and stakeholders.
