Job summary

CPG is seeking a Preconstruction Senior Construction Estimator in Ashburn, VA to shape financial feasibility for data center projects. You will develop detailed cost estimates, ROMs, and budgets for design-build, capacity recapture, and white space fit-out efforts, collaborating with sales, engineering, and finance.

Responsibilities include evaluating RFPs, interpreting designs, conducting site walks, and maintaining bid documents while cultivating supplier relationships and leading

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data center experience or similar large-scale projects; WSFO/TFO, capacity recapture preferred.
• Construction Cost Management or Quantity Surveying degree or equivalent.
• 15 years of experience in estimating/cost control with knowledge of MEP and ASC elements.
• Experience building estimating/cost control standards/programs across large organizations.
• Ability to interpret contract terms and schedule work with trade partners.

Responsibilities

• Review RFP/RFQ documents to understand project requirements.
• Read and assess design documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in site walks to capture scope and constructability.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies during scope creation.
• Generate ROM and formal estimates for prospective projects.
• Develop and compile proposal documents for bids.
