Limiting Factor Group in California seeks an Electrical Engineer to design and support power systems for data centers and power generation sites, from utility connections to LV equipment.

You will contribute to on-site design, expansions, and upgrades, remaining involved through design, construction, testing and handover to operations. The role requires 5+ years of data-center power experience and strong NEC/NFPA/IEEE knowledge.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required.
• 5+ years designing power systems for data centers or critical facilities.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70E and relevant IEEE standards.
• Experience with power system analysis software such as ETAP, SKM or EasyPower.
• Experience with Revit and AutoCAD.

Mansioni

• Design and review medium- and low-voltage power distribution: substations, transformers, switchgear, generators, BESS, UPS systems, power distribution units and busway.
• Prepare and review single-line diagrams, load calculations, and short-circuit, coordination and arc flash studies.
• Write equipment specifications and review supplier submittals.
• Work with local utilities on interconnection and service capacity.
• Manage outside electrical design firms and review their work.
• Support construction, factory and site acceptance testing, and commissioning.
• Investigate electrical faults and support Facility Operations after handover.
• Make sure designs comply with the National Electrical Code and NFPA 70E.
