Job summary

Micron Technology in Colorado is seeking a Senior Systems Performance Engineer to build data center-scale performance and power models for SSD and DRAM products. Qualifications

• A BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience; MS/PhD or equivalent counts toward experience.
• Hands-on experience with Linux servers and physical hardware.
• Experience writing software for modeling, simulation, data analysis, or automation.
• Experience building/extending a performance, power, or analytical model and validating against data.
• Working knowledge of compute/memory/storage/interconnect systems (PCIe, DMA).

Responsibilities

• Build performance and power models for SSDs and DRAM in servers and data centers.
• Write tools in Python, C/C++, or similar language; use benchmarks and traces to project performance.
• Test server platforms; measure throughput/latency/bandwidth/endurance/power; validate models.
• Analyze AI and data-intensive workloads; compare performance, power, and cost across components.
• Share model assumptions and results; contribute to simulation/emulation work as needed.
