Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Sr. Mechanical Engineer for Data Center Colocation Regional Engineering in the AMER region. Lead MEPS infrastructure design and collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and data center operations to ensure safe, scalable, and cost-efficient facilities.

You will perform site assessments, risk analyses, and testing of critical systems, traveling up to 50% to support international and domestic locations and help shape the global colocation portfolio.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.
• Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments against AWS standards for collocation data centers and facilities.
• Perform risk analysis and availability calculations for data center infrastructure.
• Influence design standards to meet AWS business needs for colocation products.
• Lead and document root-cause analysis for infrastructure failures.
