Job summary

You will evaluate existing facilities and participate in upgrades that improve reliability, efficiency, and safety across AWS regions. The role collaborates with business development, design engineers, and operations to document requirements, perform risk analyses, and guide the implementation of standards.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities such as data centers.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with data center equipment, designs, and commissioning.
• MS Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Experience evaluating new designs and construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments against AWS standards for collocation data centers and telecom facilities.
• Review vendor infrastructure designs and perform risk analyses for AWS cloud compute and networking readiness.
• Influence design specifications to meet AWS business needs for colocation products.
• Document root-cause analyses of infrastructure failures.
• Collaborate with vendors and authorities to ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
• Travel to data center sites internationally and domestically up to 50%.
