Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead multi-disciplinary datacenter design projects, interfacing with Mechanical, Controls, Plumbing and Fire teams. You will own design decisions for site selection, construction, expansions, retrofits and conversions, and guide delivery with a focus on reliability and safety.

We value extensive experience delivering mission-critical facilities, strong engineering judgment, and the ability to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and delivering mission critical facilities.
• Strong interface across Mechanical, Controls, Plumbing and Fire teams.
• Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary design teams.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages design projects; provides engineering guidance to meet expectations.
• Applies expert operating knowledge of engineering systems and safety practices.
• Helps identify training needs and mentors newer team members.
• Contributes to contract administration including drafting and reviewing contracts and change orders.
• Directs internal and external project teams delivering datacenters or partial datacenters for Oracle; communicates across departments with SOPs.
• Develops and reviews policy documents; ensures adherence to standards through commissioning activities and design reviews.
• Solves complex cross-functional issues with initiative and recommends system enhancements.
• Serves as SME across related engineering disciplines; leads seminars and knowledge sharing.
