Job summary

VIVA USA Inc is seeking a Component Engineer – Mechanical and Engineering Parts to support UPS, PDU, and STS components. You will act as the design authority for the mechanical discipline, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and production readiness across products.

You'll collaborate with R&D, SCM, Quality and Production, lead evaluations, cost analyses, supplier discussions, and drive Make vs Buy decisions to optimize manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing/mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in Manufacturing Engineering or tool development.
• Experience discussing designs with suppliers for manufacturability.
• Experience with SAP or Windchill PLM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess component quality, reliability, and compatibility with testing and supplier collaboration.
• Conduct feasibility studies and internal cost estimates for parts.
• Develop guidelines on component selection and manage data systems.
• Lead Make vs. Buy analyses and support outsourcing management.
