Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to support its rapidly growing Data Center practice. You will design fire protection systems, conduct code analyses, and ensure life safety across large, mission-critical facilities.

You’ll collaborate with clients, AHJs, and internal teams to drive innovative protections meeting stringent reliability and code requirements. The role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, supporting proposals, and shaping fire protection strategies for hyperscale

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fire protection engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Fire Protection Engineer for Data Center and Mission Critical projects.
• Provide fire protection system design, code analysis, and life safety engineering.
• Coordinate with clients, AHJs, and project teams to obtain approvals.
• Develop design criteria, basis of design reports, and technical standards.
• Perform hydraulic calculations for water distribution and sprinkler systems.
• Support business development and proposal activities in the Data Center market.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff.
