Job summary

Switch is seeking a DCO Senior Facilities Technician to join the Data Center Operations team in Las Vegas. You will support operation and maintenance of critical electrical and mechanical systems, act as first responder during infrastructure events, and provide technical leadership to other technicians in a 24/7/365 environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in facilities, electrical, or mechanical maintenance within a data center or industrial environment.
• Strong background in HVAC controls and mechanical system operation.
• Advanced understanding of generators, switchgear, transformers, UPS, ATS/STS, PDUs, CRAC/CRAH units, pumps and fire suppression.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and electrical drawings.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety requirements and safe work practices around live equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain reliable operation of critical power, cooling, and environmental systems.
• Serve as designated first responder to alarms and infrastructure events.
• Lead or support root cause analysis within your area of expertise.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Oversee vendor and contractor work to ensure safety and quality standards.
• Support development and review of procedures (MOPs, SOPs, EOPs).
• Use CMMS to document maintenance activities and asset updates.
• Mentor and train Facilities Technicians for readiness and capability.
