Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking a Site Operations Supervisor to lead a team of facility technicians, ensuring reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and life-safety systems. You will manage maintenance programs, review SOPs/JHAs, coordinate with IT, projects, and vendors, and report to the Site Operations Manager on performance, risks, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical degree, equivalent military training required or equivalent experience
• 5-7 years of experience in data center, critical facilities, or mission-critical environments
• 2-3 years in a supervisory or lead role
• Strong technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire life safety systems
• Experience with CMMS, BMS, and other monitoring tools
• Proven ability to lead teams under pressure, manage escalations, and deliver results in high-availability environments

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of facility technicians
• Oversee shift coverage, work assignments, and resource allocation
• Conduct performance evaluations and coaching
• Foster a culture of safety, compliance, and teamwork
• Report staffing performance and needs to Site Operations Manager
• Ensure operations comply with policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Review and approve JHAs, MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs
• Conduct audits, inspections, and training for AHJ compliance
• Provide regular operational updates to the Site Operations Manager
• Oversee operation, maintenance, and performance of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire life safety systems
• Approve maintenance activities in CMMS
• Ensure documentation and logs are complete
• Analyze performance trends and drive preventive solutions
• Serve as escalation point for abnormal conditions at the site
• Lead root cause analysis and post-incident reporting
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Coordinate vendor and contractor activities
• Support customer requirements and escalations
• Partner with internal teams to align facility operations with business needs
• Develop and manage maintenance schedules and capacity plans
• Review daily shift reports and incident documentation
• Track spare parts and inventory to reduce downtime
