Job summary

SpaceXAI in the Southaven/Memphis area seeks a Senior Medium-Voltage Electrician to operate and maintain critical electrical systems in our data center facilities. This hands-on role requires troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and the ability to work across MEP infrastructure to keep systems running reliably.

The successful candidate will support 24x7 coverage, mentor junior technicians, and contribute to safety and environmental compliance while traveling up to 10% as needed to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical fields or 6+ years of hands-on facilities work.
• Knowledge of mechanical/electrical engineering principles.
• Experience with building/electrical power monitoring systems and ops.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Experience with PLC-based control systems or Building Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain critical electrical systems in data centers with high reliability.
• Perform advanced maintenance and troubleshoot power and environmental controls.
• Oversee infrastructure maintenance, mentoring technicians for reliability.
• Ensure site safety and environmental compliance with local regulations.
• Provide operational expertise for MEP systems (pumps, chillers, switchgear, UPS, etc.).
• Inspect areas regularly to ensure performance and report problems.
• Write and execute MOPs, SOPs, EOPs.
• Conduct daily inspections of critical systems.
• Identify spare parts inventory to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate and supervise scheduled system shutdowns.
• Develop energy monitoring metrics and support commissioning.
