Job summary

Rackspace Technology seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to serve as the Subject Matter Expert for electrical systems in data centers. You will lead design, safety compliance and capacity planning to support uptime and scalability.

The role covers critical power infrastructure, testing, and ongoing improvements across our data center footprint. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with data center electrical architectures, equipment selection, and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 10+ years in mission-critical data center environments.
• Deep understanding of critical power systems and electrical distribution.
• Experience reading electrical drawings and wiring diagrams, and applying specs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical authority for electrical infrastructure in data centers.
• Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis and issue resolution for electrical systems.
• Manage electrical capacity planning for existing and future infrastructure growth.
• Review submittals, specifications, and infrastructure standards for projects.
• Support installation, testing, commissioning and turnover of electrical infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE and relevant codes and standards.
