Job summary

Ascendo Resources, LLC is seeking a Senior Project Manager for data center electrical construction in Richmond, VA. You will lead delivery, manage budgets, schedules, procurement, and coordination with field leaders to ensure safe, on-time, and on-budget project completion.

The role requires deep experience in large-scale electrical projects, data center distribution, and leadership of project teams. Relocation assistance is available for nationwide candidates; Richmond-based with local site

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction project management, with 5+ years in electrical or critical power projects.
• Direct experience managing electrical scope of data center projects.
• Budgets, labor, procurement, schedules, forecasting, and change management ownership.
• Experience with data center electrical distribution, cabling, and white-space fit-out.
• Familiar with switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS, MV/LV distribution.
• Experience leading PMs and coordinating with superintendents and field teams.
• Ability to translate drawings and specs into actionable plans.
• Strong communication and negotiation, plus organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical construction delivery for large data center projects with PMs and field teams.
• Own budgets, forecasts, labor planning, and resource allocation; manage variances.
• Develop schedules, milestones, and procurement plans to meet requirements.
• Oversee procurement of long-lead equipment; address supply and sequencing issues.
• Manage change orders, RFIs, scope reviews, and contractual requirements.
• Oversee estimating, proposals, billing, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate installation sequencing, testing, commissioning, and turnover.
• Conduct site reviews for safety, quality, productivity and progress.
• Communicate status, risks, and recovery plans to clients and leadership.
• Coach and develop project managers and field personnel.
