Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager - Electrical in Emeryville, CA to lead the Data Center Mission Critical Electrical Design and Analysis Engineering team for greenfield and brownfield projects.

You will direct engineering staff, manage budgets and schedules, and drive continuous improvement while partnering with project managers and clients across the US.

PE license is required; a Bachelor of Engineering and 10 years in data centers with up to 20% travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering Degree with a minimum of 10 years total experience, 5 years in hyperscale data centers.
• Data Center Electrical Design and Analysis expertise (Short Circuit Coordination/Arc Flash Studies).
• PE License required.
• Travel up to 20% to client sites for project/marketing meetings.

Responsibilities

• Ensure schedules, budgets and quality of deliverables for the Engineering Unit.
• Direct/assign work; balance activities; maintain Unit quality standards.
• Lead staff development and training; promote professional growth and licenses.
• Support marketing efforts; lead proposals with discipline supervisors; build client relationships.
• Allocate resources and approve timesheets/expenses; conduct performance appraisals.
