Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager - Electrical to lead the Data Center Mission Critical Electrical Design and Analysis Engineering team. You will direct design delivery for greenfield and brownfield data center projects and oversee staff, budgets, and schedules.

The role requires deep DC electrical design expertise, a PE license, and the ability to travel up to 20% to client sites. Strong leadership, communication and writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering Degree with a minimum 10 year's total experience with 5 years in hyperscale data centers.
• Data Center Electrical Design and Analysis (Short Circuit Coordination/Arc Flash Studies) Expertise
• PE License required
• Travel up to 20% of the time to client sites (expected to travel at least one time per month) for project and/or marketing meetings.
• Excellent verbal communication skills; Comfortable and effective communicator with staff, clients (internal and external), management, etc.
• Strong technical writing, attention to detail, and human performance skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff maintain schedules, budgets and quality of deliverables.
• Direct/assign work to balance activities and assign Lead Responsible Engineer (LRE).
• Maintain unit quality standards and CI plans; ensure budgets and schedules are met.
• Hire, develop and retain staff; promote training opportunities and professional development.
• Lead proposals with discipline supervisors and assist in business plan development and client relations.
• Allocate resources across projects and oversee timesheets and expense reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure staff meet applied time goals.
