Job summary

Actalent is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for large data centers. You will own technical direction, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and drive projects from planning through delivery.

Strong NEC knowledge, Revit and AutoCAD proficiency, and a PE license are required. The role emphasizes QA/QC, budget and schedule management, and collaboration with clients to ensure compliant, scalable data center solutions, including air-gapped environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of electrical engineering with focus on electrical design.
• Extensive experience in electrical design for large data centers.
• Strong knowledge of NEC requirements and electrical systems.
• Proficient in Revit workflows for electrical/MEP design.
• Experience coordinating MEP design in multidisciplinary projects.
• Proficient with AutoCAD for electrical design/documentation.
• Hands-on work on secure data center projects, including air-gapped environments.
• Direct experience with Tempest and ICD-705 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for large data centers, ensuring safety, reliability, and code compliance.
• Serve as lead designer, owning technical direction and project outcomes.
• Manage electrical design projects, planning, tracking, and coordinating deliverables.
• Perform QA/QC reviews to ensure accuracy and conformance.
• Supervise and mentor design staff, guiding workflows and tasks.
• Coordinate work across mechanical, structural, and architectural disciplines.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and RFIs with clear stakeholder communication.
• Apply NEC and design efficient, compliant data center solutions.
• Work on air-gapped cloud environments aligned with Tempest and ICD-705.
• Collaborate with teams and clients to resolve design issues and deliver projects.
• Travel to project sites for assessments and coordination.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement of design standards, processes, and tools.
