Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer to join its Data Center Facilities design team in multiple locations including Los Angeles.

You will work across all project stages with engineers and designers to develop cutting-edge electrical infrastructure for enterprise, hyperscale and colocation data centers. You will lead conceptual to construction designs, coordinate multi-discipline teams, and support business development and commissioning activities while traveling about 20% to project

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering is required.
7+ years of electrical engineering and design experience.
Experience with AutoCAD and Revit for drafting and design.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel ~20%.

Responsibilities

Provide electrical data center design and oversight to project teams.
Develop proposals, scopes of work and fees from client info or meetings.
Lead engineers in conceptual, schematic, and final construction designs.
Coordinate and manage electrical, mechanical, and plumbing/fire protection teams.
Develop or review specs for equipment meeting data center needs.
Prepare bid packages and review submittals for construction.
Perform needs assessments, option analyses, and total cost of ownership studies.
Perform power system analyses for mission critical facilities.
Assist in business development and commissioning activities.
