CoreSite is seeking a Data Center Design & Performance Engineer to design and review electrical, mechanical, and site plans for data centers. The role requires independent decision making and adherence to design standards, with collaboration across facility and operations teams.

Responsibilities include evaluating systems for efficiency, defining testing scopes, providing QA sign-off, and supporting customer deployments with engineering input.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of data center operations and design experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the efficiency, reliability, and design of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire & life-safety, and building systems for expansion projects.
• Define testing/commissioning scope to ensure operability and design intent.
• Provide final QA sign-off for engineered systems at project end.
• Collaborate with Sales Engineering to design custom engineering solutions for deployments.
• Support the sales process by providing technical expertise for complex opportunities.
• Assess installed systems to optimize efficiency and reliability.
• Review and approve engineering modifications to existing facilities.
• Provide engineering support to Operations, including failure analysis and maintenance of critical infrastructure.
