Job summary

Iron Mountain in North America is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead end-to-end design for data center developments and expansions, aligning technical decisions with safety, sustainability, and client goals.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage risk and value engineering, mentor Design Managers, and travel up to 25%. A four-year degree in Architecture or Engineering and US citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience leading design delivery for complex data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline; US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Define design delivery strategy for major facilities, campuses, or regional programs from concept to handover.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (architecture, structural, MEP, controls, security) with external consultants and contractors.
• Oversee design reporting, risk management, and value engineering; resolve technical and program risks.
• Serve as principal design partner across Construction, Operations, Security, Sustainability; mentor Design Managers.
• Strong commercial awareness to balance technical trades-offs with costs.
• Demonstrate ability to travel up to 25%.
• Growth mindset with opportunities for technical leadership within Iron Mountain.
