Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead end-to-end design for major data center developments and upgrades. You will drive multidisciplinary delivery, oversee risk and value engineering, and mentor design managers across the North America team.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in complex data center projects, a relevant engineering degree, US citizenship, and the ability to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Typically 10+ years of experience with complex data center or mission-critical projects.
• A four-year college degree in Architecture, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related discipline; US Citizenship.
• Ability to travel up to 25% and operate across multiple divisions.
• Strong understanding of codes/standards, permitting, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Define the design delivery strategy and lead major facility programs from concept through handover.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and internal stakeholders across architecture, structure, MEP, controls, and security.
• Oversee design reporting, risk management and value engineering; resolve technical and program risks.
• Mentor design managers and elevate regional practices across divisions.
