Job summary

Odin is seeking a Site Security Manager to lead security for a large data center construction project in Cheyenne, Wyoming. You will act as the senior on-site security authority, managing access control, incident response, and coordination with law enforcement and emergency services while safeguarding personnel and assets.

Preferred candidates include retirees with local ties and experience protecting critical infrastructure on multi-employer worksites.

Qualifications

• Prior service as a law enforcement officer (municipal, county, state or federal).
• Demonstrated leadership in security operations, site command, or large-facility protection.
• Working knowledge of the Incident Command System, access control, and perimeter security.
• Ability to operate in a complex construction environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and sound judgment under pressure.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior on-site security leader across all phases of construction.
• Develop, implement, and manage the site security plan.
• Establish and enforce command-and-control protocols aligned with Odin, general contractor, and owner requirements.
• Oversee badging, credentialing, and access control for a large, multi-employer workforce.
• Work closely with general contractor site leadership to integrate security into daily construction operations.
• Enforce policies on perimeter security, unauthorized access, and credential misuse.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to theft, vandalism, protest activity, insider threats, and public safety concerns.
• Lead the response to security incidents, emergencies, and disruptions.
• Maintain incident reports, after-action reviews, and daily security logs.
• Serve as the primary liaison with local police, the county sheriff, the Wyoming Highway Patrol, and fire and EMS.
• Coordinate joint response planning, emergency drills, and escalation protocols.
• Support leadership during community-facing events, protests, or public meetings when a security presence is required.
• Manage contract security providers and on-site officers.
• Establish post orders, patrol routes, schedules, and escalation thresholds.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, inspections, and compliance checks.
• Provide daily and weekly security briefings to Odin leadership and project stakeholders.
• Escalate material risks promptly with clear mitigation recommendations.
• Support audits, owner reviews, and regulatory inquiries as needed.
