Job summary

Google is seeking a Program Manager to lead the design, construction, and delivery of data center projects across the North America region, coordinating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to meet milestones and budgets. The role requires onsite work at remote build locations in West Texas, with travel as needed.

You will oversee a team of program managers and engineers, drive capital improvement and greenfield projects, and mentor contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of program or project management across global regions in mission-critical facilities or design-build/real estate.
• 5 years in a leadership role.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leaders, vendors, trades, and commissioning agents to manage risks and align on objectives.
• Execute a clear project delivery strategy and communicate it to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Oversee schedule and cost controls, ensuring safety and quality initiatives.
• Lead design, construction, and capital project support for data center operations in a critical region.
• Develop and mentor teams of engineers and project managers, and partner with contractors.
