Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a large data center project in Des Moines, IA. You will direct project teams, manage budgets, and coordinate with stakeholders to deliver quality results on schedule.

Responsibilities include risk management, client communication, and change-order negotiations, with strong emphasis on leadership and mentorship. Local travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• More than 10 years of construction project management experience.
• Commercial construction experience with a general contractor.
• Experience leading, developing, and mentoring a team.
• Industry-related degree required; combination of education/experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex projects from start to finish, ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence.
• Provide leadership to project teams and manage client relationships.
• Identify risks, develop mitigations, and monitor risk factors.
• Negotiate change orders, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
• Prepare and manage schedules, budgets, and financial forecasts.
