Job summary

AECOM is seeking Data Center Construction Managers to be onsite in Denver, CO. The role focuses on overseeing mechanical and electrical systems, reviewing shop drawings, monitoring installation, testing and commissioning, and ensuring project compliance with contract requirements and standards.

Ideal candidates have a BA/BS and eight+ years of construction management experience, with professional certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• BA/BS plus eight years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or architecture preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect building systems, including mechanical and electrical, for compliance with contract requirements and industry standards.
• Review contractor shop drawings and submittals to confirm alignment with project specifications.
• Monitor the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems, confirming proper functionality and performance.
• Identify and report non-conformances, coordinating with contractors and engineers to implement corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed inspection reports, logs, and records for quality control and compliance tracking.
• Oversee corrective actions for unacceptable construction work and support final inspections, punch lists, and project closeouts.
• Witness and document critical tests, such as pressure tests, leak tests, and system start-ups.
• Verify the quality of materials, workmanship, and equipment installations to confirm adherence to project specifications.
• Work closely with contractors, engineers, and other inspectors to resolve issues.
