Job summary

Garmac Limited LLC seeks an experienced Data Center Construction Manager in Abilene, TX to lead large-scale structured cabling and fiber projects onsite. You will drive planning through commissioning, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality while supervising 100+ field personnel.

This role requires strong leadership and client coordination in a demanding data-center environment. The position is exempt with compensation up to $135,000 annually; contract, contract-to-hire, or direct-hire

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
3–5 years of supervisory experience on large-scale structured cabling or data center projects.
Experience leading large dispersed field teams (>100 employees).
Data center new-construction or retrofit experience preferred.
Experience with union telecommunications crews preferred.

Responsibilities

Safety Leadership: drive accident-free culture and regulatory compliance.
Construction Operations: develop plans, schedules, and site logistics; manage progress and budgets.
Technical Quality and Compliance: enforce ANSI/TIA, BICSI, NEBS, and customer specs; lead testing and commissioning.
Team Leadership and Development: supervise and coach onsite personnel; build safety-focused culture.
Client Partnership: serve as the primary client contact and resolve workflow challenges.
