Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Constructability Engineer to guide the full project lifecycle from site selection through operations. You will bridge Design Engineering with multiple teams, resolving issues with practical, engineering-backed solutions to support safe, scalable data center delivery.

Ideal candidates have strong data center knowledge and practical construction experience, capable of driving standardization and efficiency across AWS facilities globally.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities (data centers, power gen, etc.).
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Work with Global Constructability and Construction Management teams to ensure consistency.
• Drive practical constructability standards in design documentation.
• Drive commissionability improvements in our designs.
• Drive hand-off processes from design to construction/commissioning.
• Optimize engineering input after design completion with clear roles and accountability.
• Collaborate with regional engineering teams to maintain consistency.
• Serve as initial escalation point for complex constructability issues.
• Travel up to 25% regionally, sometimes unplanned.
