Job summary

Meade, a full-service design firm, is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer Lead to provide on-site technical leadership for commissioning data center facilities. You will lead L0–L6 testing of MEP systems, translate plans into site actions, and coordinate with contractors, vendors, and clients.

The ideal candidate has deep MEP expertise, strong leadership, and a commitment to safety and quality in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive experience in building systems commissioning for data centers.
• 1+ years of hands-on leadership mentoring field teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• Deep knowledge of HVAC, CRAC/CRAH, chillers, boilers, UPS and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with NEC, ASHRAE, NFPA, IEEE codes and standards.
• Proficiency with MS Office; experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and CxAlloy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site technical authority for all levels of commissioning L0–L6.
• Translate the Commissioning Plan into site-specific tests and execution scripts.
• Lead day-to-day commissioning activities, testing, IST, startup, energization, and handover.
• Own the site-level commissioning schedule and milestones.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and drive timely resolutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with contractors and clients.
• Ensure compliance with Meade standards and applicable codes.
• Maintain commissioning logs, reports, and turnover documentation.
• Manage site-level resources and budget, and escalate as needed.
• Champion safety culture and continuous improvement across projects.
