Job summary

Meade is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer Lead to provide on-site technical leadership for commissioning data center facilities. You will lead field execution of L0–L6 for MEP systems, translate plans into site-specific tests, and ensure safe, high-quality delivery.

Reporting to the Director of Commissioning, you will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with contractors and clients, manage schedules and budgets, emphasize safety, and drive continuous improvement in commissioning

Qualifications

• 4+ years leading commissioning on data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• 1+ years of hands-on leadership mentoring field teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Deep knowledge of MEP systems including HVAC, UPS, generators, and BMS.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, ASHRAE, NFPA, IEEE codes and standards.
• Experience with commissioning test plans and functional performance testing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site technical authority and lead full execution of all levels of commissioning (L0–L6) for MEP systems in data centers.
• Translate the Director’s Commissioning Plan into site-specific execution plans and test scripts.
• Lead day-to-day commissioning activities including IST, startup, energization, and handover.
• Own the commissioning schedule, track prerequisites and milestones, ensure on-time delivery.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues during commissioning and startup phases.
• Mentor and develop junior Commissioning Engineers and field staff on testing and safety best practices.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and clients to witness testing and resolve conflicts.
• Ensure compliance with Meade standards and industry codes; maintain logs and turnover packages.
• Manage site resources within budget and provide progress reports to the Project Manager.
• Champion a strong safety culture and drive continuous improvement of processes.
