Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Architect to join a global engineering team responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS data center infrastructure.

The role focuses on architectural systems, BIM/ CAD tooling, and leading multi-disciplinary projects that impact the data center footprint. Ideal candidates have 6+ years in data centers, strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment, and experience with RFQ/RFP processes.

Qualifications

6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.
4+ years of engineering in mission‑critical facilities (data centers, power generation, etc.).
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
Knowledge of data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
Experience researching new designs and construction methods for data center equipment.
4+ years of project management or project lead experience with RFQ/RFP processes.
Experience with CAD software to deliver high‑quality models and designs.

Responsibilities

Design and implement architectural systems for data centers across disciplines.
BIM (Revit) enabled design and documentation of projects.
Lead optimization and data analysis to improve performance and cost.
Conceive, initiate and drive high-impact infrastructure projects.
Develop clear documentation including design specs and diagrams.
Define scope and provide technical support during innovation and R&D.
Mentor Data Center Engineering teams and foster collaboration.
