Job summary

Bloomberg is seeking a Senior Data Management Professional to lead data automation in the People Data team in New York. The role focuses on improving data quality, expanding coverage, and automating acquisition and validation workflows using AI-enabled methods.

You will collaborate with Data, Product, Enterprise, and Engineering, applying machine learning and NLP techniques to scale data processing, ensure reliability, and implement preventive controls to reduce manual effort.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or higher in a technical or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years in Data Quality/Management, Data Operations, Data Acquisition, Data Governance, or related fields in Finance/Tech.
• Experience applying AI/ML/NLP or rules-based automation to data workflows.
• Experience building data quality metrics and business rules as part of data architecture.
• Understanding of data pipelines, orchestration, and automation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable solutions to improve data quality and automate data acquisition.
• Identify bottlenecks and translate them into automation opportunities and controls.
• Build, deploy, and maintain automation to expand data coverage and onboarding.
• Investigate operational challenges and develop scalable solutions to reduce manual work.
• Perform data profiling and support data quality metrics and monitoring frameworks.
• Collaborate with Data, Product, Enterprise, and Engineering teams to improve data quality and scale systems.
• Design AI-enabled workflows to classify, extract, enrich, reconcile, and prioritize data at scale.
• Define success metrics for automation impact and data quality improvements.
• Educate colleagues on data quality and scalable data management principles.
