Job summary

Hone Health is seeking a senior data leader to architect and run a medallion lakehouse in Microsoft Fabric, enabling self-serve analytics for marketing, product, and finance in a remote-first environment. You will mentor a cross-functional team and partner with growth, product, finance, and clinical teams to translate business questions into scalable data solutions.

This role requires hands-on technical skill, strategic vision, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced startup culture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a technical data role (data engineering/architecture).
• Hands-on with PySpark, Python, SQL, dbt, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience building medallion architectures and production pipelines.
• Experience deploying AI-powered tools for business users (Claude or similar).
• Strong understanding of marketing, product, and financial analytics in a growth-stage DTC context.
• Partner with non-technical leaders to define data definitions and context.
• Experience mentoring data teams across disciplines; startup experience valued.
• Healthcare or health-tech exposure is a plus.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and implementation of a medallion lakehouse in Fabric with bronze, silver, and gold layers.
• Design and build Claude projects and skills for self-serve data access by teams.
• Define and maintain canonical business lexicon and data context across stakeholders.
• Create robust data ingestion pipelines from source systems to the lakehouse.
• Build data models and BI dashboards for marketing, product, and finance analytics.
• Establish data governance including lineage, documentation, and access controls.
• Mentor cross-functional team of data engineers, analytics engineers, and BI analysts.
• Collaborate with growth, product, finance, and clinical teams to translate business questions into data solutions.
