Job summary

Johnson Brothers is seeking a Senior Data Architect to shape the future of data and analytics within the organization. You will establish architectural principles and governance, guide transitions toward Fabric and OneLake, and ensure integration with Dynamics 365 F&O and Dataverse.

You will mentor engineers, define current-to-future state architectures, and collaborate with data engineers and business teams to deliver scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on solution development to architecture leadership progression.
• Experience designing enterprise data platforms and data warehouses.
• Deep understanding of data modeling and Azure data ecosystem.
• Ability to translate business needs into architectures.
• Strong communication across engineers to Directors and VPs.

Responsibilities

• Establish and mature EIM architecture principles, standards, reference patterns, and governance.
• Develop current-state, transition-state, and future-state architecture.
• Create practical architecture library with standards, patterns, and decisions.
• Guide architecture as data ecosystem evolves to Fabric, OneLake, and Fabric Data Warehouse.
• Define how Dynamics 365 F&O, Dataverse, Fabric, and analytics platforms collaborate.
• Provide architectural guidance for data ingestion, storage, modeling, analytics, metadata, lineage, and governance.
• Support Master Data Management and Data Quality capabilities with technology evaluation.
• Promote data modeling standards and reusable patterns.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to translate architecture into designs and review solutions.
• Mentor engineers and strengthen architectural practices across the team.
• Identify opportunities to simplify the tech landscape and reduce debt.
