Job summary

Smart Tech Skills LLC is seeking a Data Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale data platforms across Azure, AWS, and multi-cloud environments. You will define data strategies and build Lakehouse and Data Warehouse solutions to support BI, analytics, and AI initiatives.

You will collaborate with engineering and executive stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure data ecosystems and guide teams on governance, security, and CI/CD automation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering and platform architecture.
• 5+ years building cloud data platforms on Azure, AWS, or multi-cloud environments.
• Hands-on with Azure data services: Databricks, Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Synapse.
• Deep Lakehouse/Data Warehouse design using Snowflake and Databricks.
• Experience in PySpark, SQL, and streaming with Kafka.
• Terraform and CI/CD automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise data platform strategies, blueprints, and engineering standards.
• Design scalable Lakehouse and Data Warehouse architectures for structured and unstructured data.
• Implement dimensional models, star/snowflake schemas, and scalable ingestion pipelines.
• Align data initiatives with business goals and digital transformation roadmaps.
• Architect high-performance batch and real-time data pipelines using PySpark, Databricks, Kafka.
• Integrate Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Synapse, Snowflake, and AWS data services.
• Optimize performance via partitioning, clustering, schema evolution, and tuning.
• Establish data governance, metadata catalogs, and automated data quality checks.
• Automate deployments with Terraform and CI/CD via Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and executives to drive delivery.
