Job summary

Fabick Cat is looking for a Senior Data Architect to lead and coordinate data architecture across enterprise applications and cloud platforms. You will own database platforms, design APIs, govern data security, and drive modernization efforts aligned with Caterpillar’s digital vision.

The role supports a migration to Microsoft Dynamics 365 and emphasizes AI-enabled data pipelines, data governance, and collaboration with IT leadership and vendors. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with Power Apps, Power BI, PowerShell, SSRS, and Snowflake.
• Familiarity with agentic AI architectures, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns, or AI-enabled data pipelines.
• Extensive knowledge of Office 365 products, including SharePoint Online and Excel.
• Familiarity with Caterpillar technologies, enterprise standards, and the Cat® Digital ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical owner of multiple database platforms and applications, overseeing the full project lifecycle.
• Design, build, and administer APIs and system integrations for secure data exchange.
• Oversee data warehouse operations; troubleshoot and resolve issues across supported systems.
• Collaborate with vendors on solution development directions and enhancements.
• Define, develop, and enforce data standards, security, compliance, and governance.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to less senior team members.
