Job summary

Cayuse Holdings is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Data & Integration to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and API integrations across ERP, CRM, PIM, e-commerce, and supply chain systems. This role requires hands-on coding in Java, Python, and .NET, plus ETL/ELT, REST APIs, data quality, and enterprise integrations on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

As a remote Independent Contractor, you will collaborate with product managers and data engineers to deliver reliable, scalable solutions

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, preferably with significant experience in data and systems integration.
• Strong programming experience in Java.
• Strong programming experience in Python.
• Strong programming experience in C#/.NET.
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs, web services, and event‑driven integrations.
• Hands‑on experience with ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data transformation, and data integration.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
• Experience working with JSON, XML, CSV, and other data formats.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with messaging/event technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS/SNS, Azure Service Bus, or similar.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, debugging, and production support.
• Ability to analyze complex integration and data‑flow problems and develop practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and integration solutions.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and enterprise integrations between internal and external systems.
• Develop data ingestion, transformation, validation, and synchronization processes.
• Integrate systems such as ERP, CRM, PIM, e‑commerce, supply chain, and other enterprise applications.
• Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources and ensure data quality and consistency.
• Troubleshoot integration failures, data issues, API errors, and production incidents.
• Develop reusable, scalable, and maintainable software components.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, data engineers, and other engineering teams.
• Participate in technical design, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Monitor integration and data‑processing workflows and identify opportunities for performance and reliability improvements.
• Follow software engineering best practices, including version control, CI/CD, automated testing, logging, and documentation.
