Job summary

Cayuse Holdings is seeking a Sr Software Engineer – Data & Integration for remote work. You will design and build scalable data pipelines, APIs, and enterprise integrations across ERP/CRM/PIM and e-commerce platforms.

The role demands 10+ years of software engineering with strong data/API experience and cloud proficiency. This independent contractor position includes production support and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, preferably with data & integration focus.
• Strong programming experience in Java, Python, or C#/.NET and REST APIs.
• Experience with ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data transformation, and data integration.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and data formats (JSON/XML/CSV).
• Experience with CI/CD, Git and production support.
• Ability to analyze complex integration and data-flow problems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and integration solutions.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and enterprise integrations between internal and external systems.
• Develop data ingestion, transformation, validation, and synchronization processes.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer – Data & Integration with strong hands‑on experience in data engineering, API development, and enterprise systems integration. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and integrations connecting multiple enterprise applications and platforms.

The role requires a strong software engineering background with the ability to work across data, APIs, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems, preferably within a commerce, manufacturing, or product‑focused environment.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and integration solutions.

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and enterprise integrations between internal and external systems.

• Develop data ingestion, transformation, validation, and synchronization processes.

• Integrate systems such as ERP, CRM, PIM, e‑commerce, supply chain, and other enterprise applications.

• Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources and ensure data quality and consistency.

• Troubleshoot integration failures, data issues, API errors, and production incidents.

• Develop reusable, scalable, and maintainable software components.

• Collaborate with product managers, architects, data engineers, and other engineering teams.

• Participate in technical design, code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.

• Monitor integration and data‑processing workflows and identify opportunities for performance and reliability improvements.

• Follow software engineering best practices, including version control, CI/CD, automated testing, logging, and documentation.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, preferably with significant experience in data and systems integration.

• Strong programming experience in one or more languages such as:

• Java

• C#/.NET

• Similar enterprise programming languages.

• Strong experience developing and integrating REST APIs, web services, and event‑driven integrations.

• Hands‑on experience with ETL/ELT, data pipelines, data transformation, and data integration.

• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.

• Experience working with JSON, XML, CSV, and other data formats.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Experience with messaging/event technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS/SNS, Azure Service Bus, or similar.

• Experience with Git and CI/CD tools.

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, debugging, and production support.

• Ability to analyze complex integration and data‑flow problems and develop practical solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PIM, ERP, CRM, e‑commerce, supply‑chain, or manufacturing systems.

• Experience integrating platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or other enterprise applications.

• Experience with Master Data Management (MDM) or product/customer data.

• Experience with data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift.

• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes.

• Experience with API management or integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Boomi, or Azure Integration Services.

• Experience implementing data‑quality, validation, and monitoring frameworks.
