Job summary

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine is seeking a Senior Business Data Analyst to serve as a senior analytics partner and BI subject matter expert. You will transform complex data into meaningful, actionable insights, define business questions, develop trusted data assets, and create dashboards to support strategic decision-making for multiple offices.

• Thorough knowledge of up-to-date data analysis techniques.
• Deep understanding of Tableau and data visualization tools.
• Strong SQL, Excel, and Google Analytics skills.
• Ability to manage complex data pipelines and data quality.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to understand business needs and define analytical questions.
• Design, build, test, publish, and maintain Tableau dashboards.
• Develop a unified analytics foundation with reusable data assets.
• Ensure data quality and governance across analytics products.
• Provide expert guidance on data interpretation and reporting approaches.
• May train and mentor analytics staff and supervise others.
