Oscar Health in New York City is seeking a Senior Data Scientist for AI Enablement to join our Data Team. You will design, build, and maintain AI-powered analytics systems that empower internal stakeholders to self-serve data across the organization.

This role blends data science and engineering, requiring hands-on work turning ambiguous workflows into scalable, production-ready data tools and automated insights, partnering with AI engineers and business leaders.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in industry or other quantitative technical fields.
• 3+ years with SQL and Python to query, manipulate, and analyze data.
• 2+ years with LLMs, prompt engineering, and GenAI concepts.
• Experience building data models, using advanced analytics methods, and statistical modeling.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining production data pipelines with software engineering practices.
• Experience acting as a primary driver of technical projects and delivering end-to-end solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-driven self-serve analytics products.
• Experiment with new models, techniques, and tools based on quality, reliability, performance, and cost.
• Establish evaluations and monitoring for analytical accuracy and AI-generated insights.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with AI engineers, software engineers, and business leaders.
• Help shape Oscar’s technical direction and roadmap for AI-enabled analytics.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
