Job summary

Oscar Health in New York City is seeking a Senior Data Scientist for AI Enablement to join our Data Team. You will design, build, and maintain AI-powered analytics systems and self-serve data pipelines for internal stakeholders.

This builder-focused role combines data science and engineering. You will work with AI engineers, software engineers, and business leaders to deliver scalable, production-ready solutions in a hybrid NYC setting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in industry or quantitative fields.
• 3+ years using SQL and Python for data analysis.
• 2+ years with LLMs/GenAI in practical use cases.
• Experience building data models and applying advanced analytics.
• Experience designing and maintaining production data pipelines.
• Experience leading technical projects end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and deployment of AI-driven self-serve analytics products from prototypes to production systems.
• Experiment with models and techniques, selecting approaches based on quality, reliability, performance and cost.
• Establish evaluation/monitoring for analytical accuracy and AI-generated insights.
• Collaborate with AI/ software engineers and business leaders to integrate data workflows into software applications.
• Shape Oscar’s technical direction and roadmap for AI-enabled analytics.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
