Job summary

Oscar Health is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer to design and maintain conformed dimensional models converting raw data into reliable analytical assets across business domains. You will partner with domain experts, contribute to unified models, mentor teammates, and leverage AI to accelerate delivery.

You will report to the Associate Director, Data Science and work from NYC with a hybrid schedule (3 in-office days per week; Thursdays mandatory).

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience working with SQL to transform and model data at scale.
• 2+ years of experience building dimensional models (star schemas, slowly changing dimensions, surrogate key management).
• 2+ years of experience developing within a modern data transformation tool such as dbt.
• 2+ years of experience with cloud data platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• 2+ years of experience partnering with domain experts or stakeholders to translate business requirements into data models.
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Partner with domain experts and stakeholders to translate business logic into dimensional models.
• Design, build, and maintain conformed dimensional models in dbt across multiple domains.
• Resolve cross-source inconsistencies and ensure shared definitions across origins.
• Contribute to semantic layer artifacts for enterprise BI needs.
• Lead projects to optimize, scale, and improve analytics data transformations.
