Job summary

MDVIP LLC is seeking a product owner for analytics and data products. You will own roadmaps, define data models, and partner with engineering to turn data assets into measurable outcomes. The role requires SQL, Python, and experience with Databricks, Power BI, and Tableau.

You will champion AI-driven insights and ensure HIPAA compliance across the product lifecycle. You’ll collaborate with marketing, operations, and member services to deliver value, run agile ceremonies, and establish success

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• Minimum three (3) years of related experience in product ownership, business analysis, or technical product management, preferably supporting analytics or data products.
• Hands-on data skills: strong SQL and Python, analytics tooling, and experience with modern data platforms including Databricks; experience designing conceptual and logical data models.
• Ability to serve as a liaison between business and engineering; experience owning a product backlog and facilitating agile ceremonies (scrum, backlog refinement, sprint planning); experience building wireframes and dashboards using BI/data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
• Practical experience applying AI/LLM tools in a product or analytics context.
• Strong preference for a track record partnering with business teams to deliver measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own the product backlog and requirements for assigned analytics/data products; collaborate with business partners to convert goals into clear user stories, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Design conceptual data models that translate business questions into a shared view of MDVIP data; partner with data architects and data engineers to implement models.
• Demonstrate mastery of data by querying and analyzing data using SQL and Python to size opportunities, measure ROI, and produce reporting tied to business outcomes.
• Run and support agile delivery by facilitating scrum, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and reviews; ensure clarity and alignment across business and engineering.
• Define and own success metrics for every product and feature; establish baselines, instrument measurement, and report impact after release.
• Apply AI across the product lifecycle using AI tools to accelerate analysis, prototyping, testing, and advocate for an AI-first approach.
• Drive AI-based data self-service with other teams to answer questions from key data assets and reduce reliance on dashboards.
• Create wireframes and mockups for dashboards and visualizations using BI tools; iterate with users and developers to ensure visuals answer questions.
• Analyze the platform in context of end-to-end business processes and guide changes from planning through testing and implementation.
• Validate solutions through QA and UAT plans with stakeholders; collaborate with engineering during testing.
• Provide product input into architecture decisions for EMR and data assets, supporting AI-driven insights and member experience.
• Apply healthcare industry knowledge to translate problems into user stories meeting HIPAA and compliance standards.
