Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Analysis in Card Services Data to lead enterprise-wide analytics validation and governance. You will partner with diverse teams to validate tools, influence business strategy, and drive data-driven decisions across functions.

You will guide ongoing validation projects, explore industry best practices, and mentor junior staff while communicating findings through reports and presentations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field with 7+ years of analytics experience, or Master’s with 5+ years.
• At least 5 years of professional data analysis experience.
• At least 5 years leading and developing with open source data technologies.
• At least 2 years of experience managing people.

Responsibilities

• Refining a new Enterprise-wide analytical tools validation framework.
• Planning and executing validation projects.
• Assessing the quality and risk of analytical tool methodologies across Capital One.
• Understanding technical issues in analytical tools and assessing tool risks and opportunities.
• Independently researching, identifying, and prototyping industry best practices for emerging analytical tools.
• Communicating results clearly and concisely via validation reports and presentations.
• Coaching and mentoring junior staff.
