Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Analysis to lead the Platform Operations team in transforming high-volume transactional data into core analytical assets. You will own data strategy, architecture, and modeling frameworks for network platforms, value-added services, and servicing portals.

You will oversee monitoring, anomaly detection, and the optimization of backend data schemas while partnering with global analytics for alignment with governance mandates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field plus 7+ years of data analytics experience or Master’s with 5+ years and expected degree by start date.
• At least 5 years of professional data analysis work.
• At least 5 years leading and developing with open source data technologies.

Responsibilities

• Refine analytical assets and monitoring framework across Network Platforms and Products.
• Plan and execute data architecture and automated platform monitoring projects.
• Assess quality, scalability, and performance of real-time transactional data logs (auth, settlement, portal).
• Identify data gaps, risks, and opportunities for optimization across product domains.
• Communicate results clearly via reports, dashboards, and executive presentations.
• Collaborate with Central Global Analytics to align data assets with enterprise strategy and governance.
• Coach and mentor technical staff, maintaining high engineering standards for data utilization.
