Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Analysis for the Network Platforms and Product Operations team in Chicago. You will steer data strategy, architecture, and modeling, transforming high-volume data into actionable analytics for enterprise platforms and services.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration with governance teams, and the ability to mentor engineers while delivering data-driven insights across multiple product domains.

Qualifications

• Has Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative field plus at least 7 years of experience performing data analytics.
• At least 5 years of experience performing professional data analysis work.
• At least 5 years of experience leading and developing with open source data technologies.
• At least 2 years of experience managing people.

Responsibilities

• Refining the analytical assets and core monitoring framework across the Network Platforms and Products (NPP) tower.
• Planning and executing data architecture and automated platform monitoring projects.
• Assessing the quality, scalability, and performance of real-time transactional data logs (e.g., auth, settlement, and portal logs).
• Understanding complex technical issues and gaps in network data and proactively assessing data-driven risks, anomalies, and operational optimization opportunities.
• Communicating technical results and data trends clearly in reports, dashboards, and executive presentations.
• Partnering with the Central Global Analytics team to align local NPP data assets with enterprise data strategy, cloud infrastructure, and global governance mandates.
• Coaching and mentoring technical staff, setting high engineering standards for data utilization across the team.
