Job summary

Hyland is seeking a Principal Data Analyst to serve as the primary technical authority for analytics solutions, shaping how the organization designs and scales analytics capabilities. You will mentor analysts, drive innovation, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality datasets and dashboards.

You will lead by example as a senior individual contributor and technical leader, ensuring standards are followed while exploring new tools and techniques to enhance analytics quality

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in advanced data analytics or business intelligence roles.
• Proficiency with Power BI including semantic model design and optimization, advanced DAX development.
• Advanced SQL skills for large datasets, data transformation, and quality troubleshooting.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Lakehouse/Warehouse concepts, and Fabric data assets in Power BI.
• Ability to design, review, and mentor analytics solutions end-to-end with leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as final technical decision-maker for analytics solutions and enforce standards.
• Develop high-complexity datasets and dashboards where deep expertise is needed.
• Review and approve technical work and mentor team to raise overall capability.
• Oversee data integrity audits and establish standards for documentation and metric definitions.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, IT, and stakeholders to align upstream data design with analytics needs.
• Identify and promote improved tools and practices to improve quality and scalability.
