Job summary

VIA in Boston, MA is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer to turn raw data into clear narratives that drive customer decisions. You will work on a fast Agile team, owning data initiatives end to end with emphasis on accuracy, security, and actionable insights.

You'll partner with engineers and client delivery teams to translate domain knowledge into data infrastructure, build AI-powered data products, and oversee ETL/ELT pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a data-driven role owning data initiatives end to end.
• Bachelor's or Master's in science, mathematics, engineering, or a data-driven field.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or equivalent programming language.
• Ability to translate data findings into clear, compelling narratives.

Responsibilities

• Understand the data and the domain; translate knowledge into data infra requirements and resolve data issues.
• Explore customer data to describe contents, trends, and ranges; suggest data cleaning.
• Deliver data-based products, including interactive analyses, quality reports, and visuals.
• Build AI into data products with automated insights, anomaly detection, and AI-assisted checks.
• Evaluate AI/ML outputs against domain expectations and design human-in-the-loop checks.
• Own ETL/ELT pipelines; coordinate with stakeholders when information is missing.
• Improve internal tools for data cleaning, modeling, analytics, and data quality assessment.
